The production of "Owl Music" was born Dripping Joy!

I had been working in Phoenix between Christmas and New Years. Long hours. lots of mental focus. I needed to blow off some steam!

Two of my favorite people in the world, Kjrsten Haaland and Sandice Alaska live in Big Bear, CA which is about a 6 hour drive from Phoenix I. Picked up the phone. Sandice Alaska answered, “What?! Yer 6 hours away?! Fuck yeah! Come on up. We got invited to a place in big bear where we did their electrical work. There will be a band and food!”. “Band” was all I needed to hear.Gassed up the rental. Petal to the metal. Quick stop to see my Aunt, Beattie Stabeck and Uncle David and I was there in short order.

Sandice Briefed me on arrival. We were going to be hanging out with their friend Darcy. Darcy had just had a nasty spill down her back steps and had yet to get her dental work repaired. She needed a fun night out too.

We went out. We ate. We laughed, We danced….a lot. All the while we were snapping photos. I will say this and then return to it later, “When the good times are rolling, you don’t stop to look at the photos.”

Being on the awesome side of 50, we cashed in early. We escorted Darcy safely up her back stairs(figuratively) and retreated to the comforts of Kjrsten and Sandice's mountain cabin and a warm fire. The phones made their way out. Abruptly, Sandice starts to roar with laughter. Crying. Kjrsten are like, “WTF?”

With all the energy she can muster, she extends her arm and Kjrst and I both take a second to register what was on the screen and simultaneously erupt, roll on the floor, cry. The uncontrollable laughter of children. We laughed for a solid 45 minutes. When the laughter died down we would say, “Let’s look at it again!”. Whip the phone out, take a 2 second look and continue laughing.

The night the production of Owl Music started was one of pure joy! We can’t wait to share it!
